Clinical trials from Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Sernova Corporation are seeing great results in their type 1 diabetes cure research!

People with type 1 diabetes are desperate for a cure but it feels so far away. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, these companies have been working for decades to develop and protect insulin-producing cells.

Curing type 1 diabetes isn’t easy because your immune system will attack and destroy any foreign beta or islet cells. Beta cells are produced by the islets in your pancreas. Beta cells produce insulin!
