Ozempic was intended for people with type 2 diabetes and for those living with obesity under the name Wegovy. But Ozempic can have a huge impact on type 1 diabetes, too.

Even people with type 1 diabetes can struggle with insulin resistance, weight gain, and difficulty managing your appetite.

Beyond insulin, there are five other hormones that people with type 1 diabetes don’t produce normal amounts of. These hormones play a big role in managing how you digest food, your insulin sensitivity, how much sugar your liver makes, your appetite, and signaling to your brain that you’re full!
